Do you need some design advice? Perhaps you have ideas and are just looking for a professional opinion. Or maybe you are stumped and don’t know where to begin. I will answer your design questions and offer ideas, suggestions and guidance as you lead me on a tour of your home. This introductory service is also a great way for us to get to know each other before undertaking larger, more complicated design projects.

With thousands of paint colors to choose from, how do you know which color will be right for your home? Taking into account the lighting situation, your existing furnishings, your taste, lifestyle and vision, I will work with you to select the perfect colors for your home and leave you with a written plan.

Embarking on a bath or kitchen remodel? I listen carefully to your needs and wants, likes and dislikes, and put together a customized design just for you. You’ll be assured that your flooring, cabinetry, tile, granite, lighting and wall treatments all coordinate, look beautiful, and fit your taste and lifestyle.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. INITIAL CONSULTATION
We begin your kitchen or bath design with an initial consultation to determine your wants and needs. Together we look at your project and discuss design and functionality issues. Within 24-48 hours, I will prepare a proposal for you that outlines the project details, the services I will provide to design and implement your project, and my design fees.
2. DESIGN PHASE
At our next appointment, I will present the space plan, elevations, tile design, flooring and counter top selections, plus selections for bath fixtures, lighting, wall color, cabinet hardware, and more. Once the initial design is reviewed, we make any adjustments needed, and then you sign off on the design. I will prepare a packet of designs and materials you can use to obtain contractor quotes.
3. IMPLEMENTATION PHASE
Once the design has been approved, we begin the implementation phase. I work with several well-established, reputable licensed general contractors that I can bring to your project, but I am also able to work with your contractor if you already have one. I also have a team of licensed, high-quality sub contractors such as painters, electricians, plumbers, cabinet makers, etc. that I am happy to recommend to you if needed. The design fee includes complete design assistance throughout entire project
4. FINISHING TOUCHES
I love to see a kitchen or bath finished with artwork and accessories. As the final part of my implementation service, we set a budget for purchases, then I select, shop for, and place those finishing touches like artwork, towels and accessories, leaving you with a completed project ready for those great “after” photos.
The ideal client for this service says “Anna, please put together a design for me, with a detailed plan and selections for my space. I want you to take care of all the ordering and final placement of everything.”
Due to the full-service nature of these types of design projects, customized quotes will be provided after meeting with you to discuss the scope of the project. Typically, full-service projects tend to run between 20-50 hours, depending on the complexity of the design and the number of rooms, and are billed at $150/hr.
HOW IT WORKS:
We begin with an initial consultation to determine your wants and needs. We look at your project together, discuss design and functionality issues, and look at your existing furnishings to see how they might be incorporated into your new design. Within 24-48 hours, I will prepare a proposal for you that outlines the project details, the services I will provide to design and implement your project, and my design fees. If you accept the proposal, then you sign the agreement, send a deposit, and I begin the work of designing your space.
At our next appointment, I present my design plan to you. We make any needed adjustments, you sign off on the design, and then the fun begins. This package makes life as easy for you as possible— I will take care of everything— all the ordering, coordinating any contractors needed (painters, installers, etc), deliveries and final installation of your new design.
This service includes:
- Initial consultation in your home
- Assessment to determine style and budget
- Design plan with floor plans and elevations as needed, paint selection/color scheme, furniture, lighting fabrics, flooring, etc., presented to you in your home, with swatches and samples as appropriate.
- Ordering, receiving, inspecting, and delivery coordination of all specified materials (All materials are approved by you before ordering, and are billed separately from design fees.)
- Referrals to trusted service providers as needed. (Examples: painting, electrical work, flooring installation, window treatment installation etc. Fees for construction services are paid for directly by you to them.)
- Final placement of all furnishings in your home
- Complete design assistance throughout entire project.
The ideal client for this service says: “Anna, please come over and meet with me for a few hours in my home— I have lots of questions for you and need some direction. Can you give me a few hours of your time?
HOW IT WORKS:
We schedule a half-day meeting (up to 4 hours) and I’m yours for that time. We can spend some time together talking about your design ideas and dilemmas, I can do some floor plan sketches, and we can sit at your computer and shop online for the perfect items for your home. We can even spend some time rearranging some of your existing furnishings.
$575 Half day in your home
The ideal client for this service says: “Anna, my home feels a bit unfinished. I have the basic pieces but need the finishing touches. I don’t necessarily need a whole new interior design, but I do need help buying those last few things and I definitely want to avoid making costly mistakes.”
HOW IT WORKS:
We will schedule an initial consultation in your home to discuss your needs, desires and budget, and take an inventory of your existing furnishings. Before purchasing new items, I often recommend scheduling a few hours of time rearranging your existing furnishings. Proper arrangement of your existing furnishings first will allow me to determine exactly which pieces need to be purchased, where they will be placed, and what size, style and color are needed.
I will develop a shopping list of items needed to complete each room, and shop, using both online and local sources. My assistant and I will then return to place these new purchases for you in your home. This service will save you lots of time and frustration, and your room will finally be finished!
Shopping and placement time is billed hourly ($150/hr), and includes one assistant. A written proposal will be provided to you within 24-48 hours after our initial consultation. Very large homes may require additional assistants, and occasionally the services of furniture movers and/or furniture assemblers are required. You will know this ahead of time, so there will be no surprises on your invoice.
Typical shopping/placement projects tend to take between 10 and 30 hours of total time, depending on how many rooms are included.
This service gives your home a whole new look by rearranging and revitalizing your existing furnishings. We use what you have, but we rearrange them creatively to breathe new life into your rooms.
My assistant and I arrange furniture, hang artwork and family photos, and place collectibles and accessories. We even arrange bookcases and china cabinets. Not only is this a really great stand-alone service (as you are never obligated to buy anything new), but a one-day rearrangement is also the perfect service to begin or end a larger redecorating project. You’ll be amazed at how our design skills combined with your furnishings can result in a really beautiful “new” space.

Many times my clients simply are tired of the way their rooms look and want to freshen things up. We often get stuck in a rut — but just because that furniture or artwork has always been in that room doesn’t mean it needs to stay there. This service will make the most of your existing furnishings, and leave you with rooms that feel very fresh and new.

Let’s face it—some rooms are just a challenge. Maybe the room has an awkward layout or maybe you are just too close to it and need an objective eye to make some suggestions. With our expert eye and years of experience, we analyze the room’s shape, look at the focal point, and use design principles to create a beautifully redesigned space.

Unpack your boxes, then let us do the rest. We will arrange furniture, hang artwork and family photos, place collectibles and accessories, and arrange bookcases and china cabinets. In a new house, you might also need help with paint colors, window treatments, new flooring, lighting and more, and we are happy to help with those too.

How it works:
I will always come see your house first, then I’ll provide a customized quote. Generally speaking, this service is billed hourly ($150/hr). Most projects are accomplished in one day, depending on the size of the house, and how many pieces there are to arrange.
*Includes 1 assistant; very large homes may require more than one assistant, billed at $30/hr each. Professional movers may also be required; you’ll know ahead of time what the fees will be.
